Commercial & residential plumbing New York City. One pipe separates clean water from sewage. We make sure it holds.

Commercial fit-outs bid from the drawings for general contractors and owners. Residential plumbing for homeowners who want it done once. Five boroughs, installed to code, every test documented.

01 · Water service & backflow

Clean water in. Nothing flows back.

The service comes through the foundation wall to the main shutoff and the meter. Then the backflow preventer: an RPZ that keeps building water out of the city main, tested every year by a state-certified tester, report filed with DEP.

Backflow prevention How the DEP process works

02 · Riser & branches

One riser. A valve on every floor.

Copper up the chase, a branch at each floor, an isolation valve at the riser base and on every branch. A leak upstairs is a one-floor shutdown, not the whole building.

Repiping

03 · Fixtures

A restaurant downstairs. An apartment upstairs.

Commercial and residential in one building, the way New York is built: a three-compartment sink over a grease interceptor and a hand sink below, a bathroom above. A stop valve at every fixture.

Commercial fit-outs Bathroom & kitchen

04 · Drainage & vent

Everything falls to the stack.

No-hub cast iron at a quarter inch per foot. A trap under every fixture, a vent for every trap, a cleanout at the base of the stack. Before the street: the house trap and its fresh-air inlet.

Drain & sewer How a house trap works

05 · Hot water

Hot water that arrives hot.

Heater with its relief line run full size to within 6 inches of the floor, an expansion tank on the cold side, and a return loop with its own pump and check valve. The far tap runs hot in seconds, not minutes.

Water heaters

06 · Pressure test

Tested before the walls close.

Water lines held at 150 psi for 15 minutes. Drains held under a 10-foot head of water. Those are the NYC Plumbing Code tests for new work, and every test is logged before the inspection.

Diagnose before the fixThe cause first: pressure, slope, material, code. Then one repair.
Written scope, written priceCommercial: by position with unit prices. Residential: before the work starts.

The systems we build and fix

Each one starts the same way: understand the system, write the scope, price it. Then install, test, document.

Who we work for

Built for people who want it done once

General contractors

Fit-outs and new work bid from your set, scheduled by week, closed out with documentation. One proposal format for every job.

Building owners & managers

Riser and stack replacement in occupied buildings, hot-water plants, drain and sewer problems that keep coming back.

Homeowners

Bathroom and kitchen renovations, water heaters, leaks, drains and repiping. Done once, explained plainly, inspected where the code requires it.

How a job runs

Four steps. Same order every time.

01

Read the job

The plan set for a fit-out; the layout, the photos and a site visit for a home. Fixtures counted, runs measured, the questions asked before the number is given.

02

Scope & price

A written scope and a written price. On commercial work: a proposal by position with alternates and unit prices. What is included is listed. What is not is listed too.

03

Install to code

Materials per the spec, hangers at the spacing in NYC Plumbing Code Table 308.5, nothing closed before it is tested and inspected.

04

Test & document

Pressure tests run to the NYC Plumbing Code and logged. Riser notes, as-built sketches and the close-out package the owner keeps. At home: you get told what was done and why.

We don't "take a look." We read the system: pressure, slope, material, code section. Then we fix the failure, not the symptom.
  • A clog is a symptom. A belly in the line is the failure.
  • A heater that runs out is a sizing problem, not a heater problem.
  • A valve that does not shut is the first thing to replace, not the last.
Questions people ask first

Short answers

Do you work for general contractors?

Yes. Commercial work is bid from a plan set sent by a GC or an owner: a quantified takeoff, a written proposal by position with alternates and unit prices, then the work under the GC schedule.

Do you do residential work?

Yes. Bathroom and kitchen renovation plumbing, water heaters, repairs and leaks, drains and sewer, repiping, in houses, apartments, walk-ups and co-ops.

Which parts of New York City do you serve?

All five boroughs: Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island.

Who pulls the permits?

PlumbHub LLC is a plumbing project contractor. Permitted plumbing work in New York City is filed, supervised and signed off by the New York City Licensed Master Plumber engaged for each project.

How do I get a price?

Commercial: send a link to the plan set through the bid form, or email it; a written proposal by position comes back. Residential: call or text with the symptom and send photos and the layout; the price is written before the work starts.

Send the set, or tell us what it does.
